CEREUS Network online poker room Ultimate Bet made known that it had signed adult film star Samantha Ryan to a sponsorship for the continuing World Series of Poker (WSOP).Ultimate Bet has quite a number of sponsored players who are women on their team, but Ryan is the first porn star.
Samantha Ryan will be making impression at a number of events at this year’s World Series of Poker, and in each one she’ll be sporting a brand new Ultimate Bet Poker referral code patch as part of the sponsorship contract.
Ryan said she will be playing several hour days at the WSOP, a different animal for her, but not totally novel. She’s been an online poker player for a couple of years now and has done quite fine for herself, although no major winnings to date. She further stressed, “If I were to bust out of every tournament and not cash, I don’t think it’d continue. I have to earn my own respect. I haven’t gotten fortunate yet and have had a lot of bad beats so far.”
